Learning To Drive In Dundee
Learning to drive in Dundee is a good grounding for driving anywhere.
With it’s hundreds of roundabouts (circles) and challenging junctions such as the Strathmartine Road/Kingsway Dual Carriageway, anyone learning to drive in Dundee should be able to cope with most driving situations.
There is a lot to like about Dundee, traditionally known as the three J’s, the j’s standing for Jute, Jam and Journalism.
Unfortunately the only surviving J is journalism with D C Thomson having their offices in both the centre of Dundee and just off the Kingsway.
Originally from Newport in Fife, I moved to London in my early 20’s where I worked at a variety of firms, eventually setting up my own business in the entertainment and leisure sector.
It wasn’t until the 1990’s that I decided to do something different, qualifying as a driving instructor in 1999.
Initially I worked for Portsmouth Driving School. My wife Dawn and I lived in Southsea, Portsmouth and in the early stages of my new career I felt safer to work for an established driving school.
However when Dawn and I moved to Dundee in 2004 I decided to branch out on my own establishing UKADI Driving School. Mind you, very few people know the name of my driving school. Most people just know me as ADI John.
I have taught hundreds of people in Dundee since I moved home to Scotland so if you are thinking about learning to drive in Dundee I would be happy for you to text me on 07866 123777. There is no point in ‘phoning as I very rarely answer my mobile as most of the time I am in the car but if you text me, I can get back to you.
